DeadPixel is a browser-based generative art studio. It uses fluid physics simulations and particle systems to create unique, high-resolution abstract art that you can engage with in real-time. Learn more in our Generative Art 101 guide.
Yes. If you purchase the high-resolution export (4K or 8K) you are granted a commercial license to use the generated imagery for any purpose, including print, digital media, and merchandise. Please review our Terms & Licensing page for full details.
The watermark is removed automatically when you purchase a high-resolution export. The "Preview" mode will always show a watermark to protect our intellectual property.
For the best performance and to handle high particle counts (over 5000), we recommend using a desktop or laptop with a dedicated graphics card. Mobile devices are supported but may experience performance issues and is not recommended.
Simulating thousands of particles with fluid dynamics is computationally expensive. If you experience lag, try reducing the "Particle Count" slider or pausing the simulation before adjusting other settings. See our complete manual for performance optimization tips.
4K (3840x2160) is ideal for most uses including desktop wallpapers, social media, and prints up to 24 inches. 8K (7680x4320) provides ultra-high detail for large format prints, professional portfolios, and future-proofing your art collection. Read our detailed resolution guide to choose the right format.
All exports are saved as PNG files with transparent backgrounds where applicable. PNG format ensures lossless quality and maximum compatibility with design software, printing services, and web platforms.
Yes! Each creation has a unique seed number. Use the Share button to copy a URL that preserves all settings. You can bookmark or save this URL to recreate the exact same artwork anytime.
Use the control panel on the right side to adjust Particle Count, Noise Scale, Trail Opacity, and Color Palette. Advanced features include Domain Warping, Symmetry, Motion Type, and Paper Texture. The Magic button (✨) randomizes all settings for instant inspiration. Check out our user manual for detailed explanations of each control, or learn about mastering flow fields.
DeadPixel works in any modern web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge). For optimal performance: 4GB+ RAM, dedicated GPU recommended for particle counts above 5000, and a stable internet connection for initial load.
