Today, we're pulling back the curtain (just a little bit) on DeadPixel Labs.
What is DeadPixel Labs?
Labs is our classified experimental facility. It's where we test beta features, unstable algorithms, and entirely new modes of generative creation before they hit the main stage. It's a playground for the curious and the brave.
Experiment 001: Life Mode
What happens when you give pixels a will to live? In Life Mode, particles aren't just dots—they are entities. Predators hunt, grazers flee, and complex ecosystems emerge from simple rules.
Based on emergence theory, this mode simulates a living petri dish where no two simulations are ever the same. You have the power of a god: spawn life, introduce chaos, or wipe the slate clean.
Experiment 002: Mechanical Plotters
Step away from the digital and into the mechanical. This experiment simulates the physics of Harmonographs and Pintographs—complex drawing machines that use pendulums and rotary gears to create perfect geometric spirals.
Watch as the virtual pen traces ink on paper, governed by momentum and friction. It's the perfect blend of steampunk engineering and digital precision.
Experiment 003: Kinetic Typography
Words have never looked like this. In Typography Mode, we turn text into a gravitational force field. Particles are magnetically attracted to the shape of your letters, creating a swirling, smoking, living headline.
Type anything, and watch it manifest from the chaos. It's the ultimate tool for creating unique logos and headers.
How to Access Labs
DeadPixel Labs is a restricted area. We can't just let anyone in to mess with the fabric of our digital reality.
For Subscribers
If you are a DeadPixel Pro subscriber, you have Level 5 Clearance. The facility doors will open for you automatically. Our biometric scanners (okay, it's just a local token) will recognize your premium ID and grant you immediate entry.
For Everyone Else
Non-subscribers will encounter a security gate. You can hunt for access codes hidden in our newsletter or social media, or you can request a temporary pass via our contact form.
