Play / Stop Button

Located at the top of the panel (or bottom on mobile), this button (▶ / ❚❚) freezes and resumes the simulation. Pausing is essential for capturing the perfect moment before exporting.

Reset Button

Clears the canvas completely and respawns all particles at random locations. Use this when the canvas becomes too cluttered or white-washed.

Randomize Button

The "Randomize" button. Clicking this generates a completely new configuration by picking a random seed, color palette, and set of physics parameters. Great for finding inspiration.

Canvas Color

Choose between a classic Black (Dark) canvas for neon/cyber aesthetics, or a White (Light) canvas for a clean, ink-on-paper look. Switching backgrounds automatically updates the available color palettes.

Particle Count

Controls the density of the simulation. Increasing this number adds more individual agents to the canvas. Higher counts result in richer, more complex textures but may impact performance on older devices.

Noise Scale

Determines the "zoom level" of the underlying Simplex Noise field.
• Low Values: Create broad, sweeping curves and gentle rivers.
• High Values: Create tight, chaotic swirls and turbulence.

Trail Opacity

Controls how quickly the particle trails fade.
• Low Opacity (0.01 - 0.05): Colors build up slowly, creating smooth, watercolor-like gradients. ideal for high-res wallpapers.
• High Opacity (> 0.1): Creates distinct, sharp lines where individual particle paths are visible.

Motion Type

• Fluid (Default): Particles move freely in 360 degrees, following natural curves.
• Geometric: Particles are snapped to a grid and can only move in cardinal directions (Up, Down, Left, Right), creating circuit-board patterns.

DeadPixel includes distinct palette sets for each canvas mode:

Black Canvas Palettes

• Neon Cyber: High-contrast pinks, cyans, and purples.
• Deep Ocean: Soothing blues and teals.
• Solar Flare: Warm oranges, reds, and yellows.
• Monochrome: Grayscale tones. Perfect for minimalist art.
• Royal Gold: Luxurious golds and warm whites.
• Iridescent: A vibrant mix of magenta, electric blue, and yellow.
• Galaxy Mode: Deep space colors with gravitational physics.

White Canvas Palettes

• Ink: Deep blacks and charcoals, mimicking traditional calligraphy.
• Watercolor: Soft washes of blue and cyan.
• Sunrise: Vibrant oranges and yellows against white.
• Graphite: Precise greys and silvers.
• Gold: Metallic gold tones.
• Berry: Rich purples and pinks.
• Cosmic Light: Inverted space themes with vibrant violets.

Symmetry Points

Mirrors the canvas across multiple radial axes.
• 1x: No symmetry (Normal).
• 2x - 12x: Creates kaleidoscopic mandalas as particles are reflected around the center.

View in Room

Takes your current artwork and overlays it onto a virtual 3D frame in a minimalist living room setting. This helps you visualize how the piece would look as physical wall art.

Purchase / Export

Clicking "Purchase High-Res" triggers the rendering engine. It re-simulates your current settings at 4x or 8x resolution to produce a print-quality PNG file, free of screen artifacts.
